I found a book in the library called 'Sustainability in Fashion and Textiles', of which I skimmed and read chapters that were of interest to my thesis question and generally around this topic. it containted a lot of statistic (however they were a few years old) which were really helpful to lead me to extra sources such as 'Waste Online'.

Reading a chapter 'Textile waste and the textile sector' raised questions such as; how much a consumer wastes a year and how much is recycled or repurposed, and the main question why? Why is it not all getting recycled?

There was also a experiment on a group of Danish women who were interviewed about fast fashion and some of the reasons for why they buy, which is very similar to some of the questions on my questionnaire before. This experiment was from a few years ago and is on Danish women, whereas mine will be on different ages, gender and will be based on people who I can contact and ask so UK. Reading the chapter with this experiment in, it did raise the question to me whether it was a reliable information because if the women were in a group they could have been influenced by each others wanders, agreeing with each other, and possibly not being honest as in front of others.

In the final chapter I took the most information called, 'Managing waste through recycling' it talked about post industrial and post consumer waste, and also mentioned H&M as a brand to look into further around this topic of what they do or did with there waste.
